A major focus of her work has been the startup of the Low Dose CT screening program at UAMS, which has been in existence since 2014. She has been a nurse practitioner for 15 years. Patricia works at UAMS with the Thoracic Surgery Oncology team and sees lung and esophageal cancer patients. Marino is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery and sees patients in the Surgical Oncology Clinic at the UAMS Winthrop P. She is board eligible for the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of Surgery.Ĭurrently, Dr. She completed her General Surgery internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Marino, a native of Louisiana, obtained her bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and business from Centenary College and her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, both in Shreveport. Katy Marino joined the Department of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2019 after completing her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
